6 representatives of Arab origin retain their seats in the US Congress

New York, November 9 (Petra)- 6 representatives of Arab origin succeeded in retaining their seats in the new US House of Representatives, which together with the Senate constitutes the so-called Congress.
The six representatives are; Elhan Omar (Democratic) for the 5th district of Minnesota, Rashida Tlaib (Democrat) for the 12th district of Michigan, Darren Lahoud (R) for the 16th district of Illinois, Garrett Neil Grieves (R), for the 6th district of Louisiana, and Darl Issa (R) for the 48th district California and Anna George Asho (Democrat) for the 16th District of California.
The number of members of the House of Representatives is 435, whose number is chosen in proportion to the population of each of the 50 states, in addition to the city of Washington, which has 3 representatives.
