Air traffic via Queen Alia Airport grows by 36%, says official

Amman, Mar 14 (Petra)– The Air traffic via Queen Alia International Airport grew by 36 per cent in February, compared to the same month of 2022, linking the Kingdom directly with 84 international destinations, said Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission (CARC) Chief Commissioner, Haitham Misto.

The number of daily flights in February amounted to 193, compared to 142 arriving and departing flights in the same month of 2022, Misto said Tuesday in statement.

The number of flights since the beginning of this year until the end of February reached 11,423 arriving and departing flights, compared to 8,608 for the same period in 2022.

He pointed out that passenger traffic achieved a growth rate of 72 per cent, with the number of arriving and departing passengers, to reach 1.325 million passengers, from the beginning of the year until the end of February, compared to 769,000 in the same period of 2022.
