FIE Delegation Inspects Saudi Readiness to Host World Fencing Championship 2024

Riyadh, September 12, 2023, SPA — The International Fencing Federation (FIE) delegation, led by CEO Nathalie Rodriguez, along with Technical Committee Chairman Dieter Lammer and President of Rules Commission Ziad Feriani, will conclude a visit tomorrow. The three-day visit aimed to evalute the preparations for the World Fencing Championship 2024 for Juniors and Youth, which will be hosted in Riyadh from April 12 to 20, 2024.
Accompanying the FIE delegation during the visit are the President of the Saudi Arabian Fencing Federation (SAFF), Ahmed Al-Sabban, and the CEO of SAFF, Abdullah Alsunaid.
The FIE delegation will be briefed on Wednesday on the entry procedures for participating delegations coming to the Kingdom and the facilitations provided by the Ministry of Sports. Additionally, a meeting is scheduled for Wednesday with Al-Sabban to discuss hosting needs and requirements.
The international delegation visited today the sports hall at King Saud University, which will host the championship’s competitions. It also inspected the accommodation facilities for the delegations, transportation arrangements, and technical requirements.
