JHCO dispatches  new aid convoy for  Syria

Amman, Mar. 16 (Petra)–The Jordanian Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO) sent a new relief aid convoy, in coordination with Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, and the Jordanian Armed Forces (JAF)/ Arab Army, to Syrian people as part of the Kingdom’s emergency response campaign to the earthquake victims.

According to a JHCO statement released Thursday, the 7-truck convoy is loaded with foodstuff, relief and medical supplies to be delivered at Jordanian-Syrian border to the Syrian Arab Red Crescent through the “back- to-back” cargo system.

The JHCO Secretary-General, Hussein Shibli, said the organization continues to receive and prepare donations and coordinate with JAF and Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates to deliver aid to eligible people in all earthquake-affected areas through Jaber-Nassib crossing.

To date, the statement noted 16 convoys were sent to Syria so far, bringing the total of trucks dispatched to 131, loaded with relief, foodstuff and medical materials across the Jordanian-Syrian land border.
