Amman, Mar. 15 (Petra) — The Embassy of Japan in Jordan Tuesday evening held a ceremony to confer on Prof. Dr. Eng. Mohammad Abu-Dayeh Matouq, Professor, Faculty of Engineering Technology, Al-Balqa Applied University with the Decoration of “The Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Neck Ribbon”.
A statement issued by the Embassy on Wednesday said that “Prof. Dr. Eng. Mohammad Matouq took the initiative of launching Jordan Japan Academic Society in 2004, and has ever since spared no effort in promoting academic exchange and mutual understanding between Jordan and Japan.”
The ceremony was attended by many guests such as former ministers and high-level officials in the academic field, it added.
