National Bank of Fujairah supports enhancement of global trade ecosystem

DUBAI, 15th March, 2023 (WAM) — The National Bank of Fujairah (NBF) has announced that it will sponsor and participate in the Global Trade Facilitation Summit 2023. The event is organised by ICC UAE and will be hosted by Dubai Chambers for the second time.

The summit will focus on the strategic theme of ‘Trade Transformation and Technology’ and provide an opportunity for key stakeholders in trade facilitation to share their expertise and experiences.

Scheduled to take place from March 15th to 16th, the summit will bring together over 500 delegates from the UAE and the MENA region, including banks, trade finance professionals, importers, exporters, lawyers, and other business professionals. Adnan Anwar, Deputy CEO of NBF, will be a keynote speaker on the first day of the summit.

In his statement, Anwar said that the bank’s participation and sponsorship reaffirmed its position as a leading finance partner and global trade expert. He added that the bank was committed to supporting the global trade finance system by providing impactful and sustainable banking solutions.

The GTFS2023 summit will cover various themes and topics, including sustaining trade in challenging times, sustainability, expectations for ESG in the run-up to COP28, and trade transformation through technology and regulation. Through a series of panel discussions and presentations, attendees will gain insights into trends, developments, and legal and technical issues impacting global trade and finance.
