Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt, May 26, 2023, SPA — The Deputy Minister of Finance for International Affairs, Dr. Ryadh Alkhareif, headed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s delegation to the 58th annual meetings of the Board of Governors of the African Development Bank and the 49th meetings of the Board of Governors of the African Development Fund, held in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt, from May 22 to 26 under the theme “Mobilizing Private Sector Financing for Climate and Green Growth in Africa.” The meetings were attended by several finance ministers and central bank governors.
During the meetings, Dr. Alkhareif reviewed Saudi support to African countries, bilaterally or through regional and international organizations such as the African Development Bank. He highlighted some of the initiatives launched by the Kingdom in food security and climate change, such as the Saudi Green and the Middle East Green Initiatives.
