Riyadh, September 18, 2023, SPA — The Speaker of the Shura Council, Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh, met in Riyadh today with Russian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Sergey Kozlov.
Al Al-Sheikh underscored the importance of strengthening relations between the two countries, especially parliamentary relations between the Shura Council and the Russian parliament.
For his part, the Russian Ambassador praised the role played by Saudi Arabia in various international issues, which confirms the important position of the Kingdom and its leadership.
The Russian ambassador conveyed congratulations of the Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, Valentina Matvienko, to the Speaker of the Shura Council on the occasion of the National Day of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
During the meeting, they reviewed bilateral relations and ways of enhancing them to achieve common interests and discussed issues of common concern.
