Turkey to Ratify Finland’s NATO Membership

Ankara, March 17 (QNA) – Turkey President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that his country will ratify Finland’s NATO membership.

In a press conference with his Finnish counterpart Sauli Niinisto, Erdogan announced that the Turkish parliament will begin the process of ratifying the Finnish NATO membership, in light of Turkey’s security concerns. He added that Turkey separates the Finnish and Swedish proposals to join NATO, adding he looks forward to seeing Helsinki’s continued support for Turkey to join the EU. (QNA)
