5.3-Magnitude Earthquake Strikes US State of Alaska

Washington, May 24 (QNA) – A 5.3-magnitude earthquake struck the Nikolski area of Alaska.
The US Geological Survey reported that the quake occurred at a depth of 7.2 kilometers.

There have been no reports of damage or injuries so far.

Alaska lies on the Pacific Ring of Fire, a zone of intense seismic and volcanic activity where tectonic plates meet. (QNA)
