Distinguished Participation of Morocco at Geneva Invention Fair

The projects featured at the Moroccan stand, under the supervision of the Moroccan Inventors’ Association OFEED, a member of the International Federation of Inventors’ Associations, won six medals, including two gold medals for the International University of Rabat (UIR), two gold medals for independent inventors, and two silver medals for the International University of Agadir.

The 12-member Moroccan delegation presented nine innovations during the event, featuring over 1,000 inventions from 40 countries for the first time in its history.

The Moroccan projects included six university innovations and three individual innovations, said Mohsine Bouya, Director of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center at UIR, adding that the solutions showcased covered vital sectors such as renewable energies, road safety, medical technology, and many others.

The projects put forward by the Moroccan delegation sparked considerable interest on the part of businessmen, who were keen to invest in their manufacturing and marketing processes, he told MAP.

The exhibition was an opportunity to forge fruitful relationships with foreign delegations of inventors, exchange experiences and visions, and explore venues of mutual enrichment and innovation-oriented partnership, Bouya added.

The Geneva Exhibition is one of the most important platforms for celebrating excellence in invention internationally. Alongside the exhibition halls, the organizers offered workshops on the various stages of invention, from idea to realization, and educational activities to strengthen children’s scientific and creative senses.

Moroccan inventors made a big impression at the 49th International Exhibition of Inventions, held in Geneva on April 17-21.
