Amman, Nov. 25 (Petra) – Minister of Environment, Muawieh Radaideh, affirmed the ministry’s readiness to strengthen cooperation and partnership with women-led sectors in environmental protection, offering technical and logistical support while leveraging the expertise of Jordanian women environmental activists.
This statement was made during a ceremony held on Monday to honor Buthaina Abu Roza, founder and managing director of Qutoof Professional Development Organization, who secured first place in the Arab Women Excellence Award 2024 in the environmental activism category, presented by the Arab League.
Radaideh praised Abu Roza’s efforts and distinction in environmental work, highlighting the vital and outstanding role of Jordanian women in leading national environmental initiatives.
For her part, Abu Rosa commended the Ministry of Environment for its support and encouragement, expressing her gratitude for being recognized as an environmental activist and for her participation in the prestigious Arab Excellence Award.
During the meeting, she showcased key projects, initiatives, and programs implemented by her organization, expressing her willingness to collaborate with the ministry in executing initiatives and programs that benefit the community.
