Explosion strikes Turkish Aerospace company in Ankara

Amman, Oct. 23 (Petra) — A powerful explosion struck the headquarters of the Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) in Ankara, followed by gunfire in the area, Turkey’s official Anadolu news agency reported on Wednesday.

Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced a terrorist attack on the company’s headquarters, saying on X: “There was a terrorist attack targeting the facilities of the Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI), unfortunately, we have martyrs and wounded in this attack.

For its part, the Turkish channel “Khabar Türk” said that the cause of the explosion may be a suicide bomber and that there are hostages being held without further details.
