Floods: Spain’s Head of Civil Protection Expresses Gratitude to HM the King for Morocco’s Support

“I would like to express the gratitude of the Spanish government and people to HM King Mohammed VI and the Kingdom of Morocco for this precious contribution to the rescue operations and the management efforts of this crisis,” Barcones told MAP.

As soon as help was requested, Morocco immediately responded, she said, commending this perfect commitment at a moment when Spanish emergency management services need this kind of support.

This support testifies to the deep ties between Morocco and Spain, she added, underlining the professionalism of the Moroccan teams deployed on the ground.

Praising the speed and efficiency of the resources mobilized by Morocco in support of the intervention teams, the Spanish official noted that “this gesture illustrates perfect solidarity and a solid partnership between Spain and Morocco.”

Spain’s Director-General of Civil Protection and Emergencies, Virginia Barcones, expressed, on Friday, her deep gratitude to HM King Mohammed VI for Morocco’s precious and efficient support to the rescue efforts in the Valencia region, deeply affected by the recent floods.
