
New York, September 20, 2023, SPA — The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, held a meeting today with the Foreign Minister of the Kingdom of Denmark, Lars Løkke Rasmussen. This meeting took place on the sidelines of the 78th UN General Assembly in New York.
During the meeting, the Foreign Minister praised the step taken by the Danish government to submit a law for approval aimed at preventing insults to religions and beliefs. This measure is intended to prevent infringement on the Holy Quran and religious symbols under the pretext of freedom of expression and opinion.
During the meeting, the two ministers discussed ways to enhance and develop relations across various fields of cooperation. They also explored the consolidation of bilateral and multilateral efforts. Additionally, they addressed the latest developments on prominent international issues and the ongoing efforts in this regard.
The meeting was attended by the Kingdom’s permanent representative to the UN, Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Wasel, and the director of the Foreign Minister’s Office, Abdurrahman Al-Dawood.
