Amman, Nov. 27 (Petra) – The Green Steps Project, spearheaded by the Nusaybah Mazniyeh School in al-Jizah District, concluded on Wednesday. The initiative was carried out in collaboration with Green Jordan, supported by the Polish Embassy, and under the auspices of the Ministry of Education.
Speaking at the closing ceremony, Director of Education for al-Jizah Saad Sakarna highlighted the vital role of environmental education in fostering sustainable communities.
In the presence of Polish Ambassador Lucjan Karpinski and Green Jordan Director Farah Qaseri, Sakarna emphasized the project’s goal of empowering students to lead environmental conservation efforts within their schools and communities.
Sakarna praised the initiative’s transformative potential, expressing hope for its expansion to other schools in the district. He noted that making schools environmentally friendly enhances the educational environment and instills values of conservation and sustainability in students.
During the event, students showcased their accomplishments, including recycling and agricultural projects that have contributed to increased green spaces in their school.
