Zarqa, Oct. 20 (Petra) — The ABET accreditation for the Hashemite University Faculty of Engineering has been renewed for another six years, guaranteeing its continuation until 2030.
The renewal is the culmination of a process that began in 2016, when the faculty received this accreditation for the first time, after which it continued its commitment to international education standards.
Khaled Hyari, President of the University, said that the renewal of the accreditation is not only a recognition of the university’s commitment to providing high-quality education that combines theory and practical application but also a qualitative step to enhance the chances of graduates entering the local and international labor market with efficiency and confidence.
For his part, the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Hasan Katkhuda, said that the faculty has made great efforts over the past years to maintain a high level of quality in its academic programs, explaining that the accreditation is subject to periodic reviews to ensure continuous improvement and keep pace with rapid developments in engineering fields.
The accreditation renewal included seven bachelor’s programs in civil, medical, electrical, computer, industrial, mechanical and mechatronics engineering disciplines.
