Doha, January 25 (QNA) – HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani met at the Amiri Diwan on Thursday with HE Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs of the United Kingdom David Cameron and his accompanying delegation, on the occasion of his visit to Qatar.
During the meeting, they discussed the two countries’ close bilateral relations, and prospects for promoting and developing them, in addition to the latest regional and international developments, primarily the situation in the Gaza Strip and the Occupied Palestinian Territories and means to reach a permanent and immediate ceasefire to spare the blood of our Palestinian brothers and ensure the protection of civilians and the delivery humanitarian aid to those in need in the Strip.
The British Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, voiced the United Kingdom’s thanks to HH the Amir for the State of Qatar’s endeavors to reduce the escalation and end the war in Gaza.
HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani attended the meeting. (QNA)
