Baghdad, November 12 (Petra) – The Presidency of the Republic of Iraq confirmed today, Saturday, that Iraq’s position is clear and explicit in supporting the Palestinian cause.
The media office of the Iraqi presidency said in a statement today that the participation of the President of the Republic, Dr. Abdul Latif Rashid, in the Arab League summit held in Algeria, and the Climate Summit in Sharm El-Sheikh in the Egyptian Republic, demonstrated Iraq’s clear and frank position in expressing its policy based on respect for common interests. And his commitment to major issues, foremost of which is the Palestinian cause.
And the media office indicated that Iraq’s position on the Palestinian issue was expressed by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas in his meeting with President Rashid, in which he praised the Iraqi position.
