Israeli airstrikes on southern Lebanon, Bekaa Valley leave 17 martyrs, 5 injured

Beirut, Sept. 23 (Petra) – Seventeen people were martyred and five others injured in Israeli airstrikes targeting multiple areas in southern Lebanon and the Bekaa Valley on Monday evening.

A Lebanese security source told Petra’s correspondent in Beirut that 10 people were martyred when two civilian houses were targeted in the town of Taraya in Baalbek, while airstrikes targeted Hadath Baalbek, leaving two martyrs and five wounded.

Additionally, 5 people were reportedly martyred in the town of Saksakia as a result of a night airstrike, and work continues to recover the victims from under the rubble. Furthermore, Israeli airstrikes were documented on the towns of Al-Ansar, Srifa, Safad Al-Battikh, Al-Sultaniya, Qaqa’iyat Al-Jisr, Al-Ghaziya and Maaraka
