Gaza, Nov. 11 (Petra) — Twenty martyrs and over thirty injured people have arrived at Al-Awda Hospital in Nuseirat, in the central Gaza Strip, as a result of the Israeli occupation’s attack on the Nuseirat camp.
In a statement released on Monday, the hospital also mentioned that paramedic staff were able to reach the western parts of the camp and recover the remains of other martyrs after the invaders left, despite the locations being dangerous.
It explained that direct fire from the occupying drones damaged the hospital’s administration building and that the occupation artillery bombed the water tanks, causing water to be cut off to some of the hospital’s structures.
However, given the severe consequences of the occupation’s restrictions on the flow of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip, particularly its northern region, the network of Palestinian NGOs urged the Palestinian government and the UN to declare the region a famine zone right away.
In a statement, the network pointed out that the occupation still limits access to different parts of the Gaza Strip and keeps food, medical, and water help from reaching the northern Gaza Strip. No more than 30 trucks of relief are brought in each day, which covers 6% of the basic necessities.
