Amman, Nov. 16 (Petra) The Jordan Islamic Bank (JIB), in collaboration with Al Baraka Bank Egypt and Al Baraka Bank Algeria, has launched an electronic platform aimed at enhancing commercial opportunities between Jordan, Egypt, and Algeria by facilitating mutual opportunities among the bank’s clients and the units of the Al Baraka Group.
JIB CEO, Hussein Said emphasized that Jordan enjoys a distinguished position as an attractive investment hub, thanks to the support and facilities provided by official, regulatory, and supervisory bodies, as well as the development of systems and infrastructure to create opportunities for investment and partnership across key industrial, economic, and commercial sectors. Additionally, he highlighted the nation’s focus on advancing Islamic financial services and enacting legislation that strengthens their role in supporting and developing the national economy.
Said noted that the JIB aims to leverage digital advancements and strategic partnerships through this dedicated electronic platform for its clients, Al Baraka Bank Egypt’s and Al Baraka Bank Algeria’s. The initiative is designed to consolidate collaborative frameworks among the Al Baraka Group units, unify commercial relations across the countries where the group operates, and capitalize on trade agreements to enhance efficiency and competitiveness in providing commercial financing services to the group’s clients.
He further explained that the electronic platform offers significant added value to the JIB’s clients by simplifying the search for mutual business opportunities. It aims to streamline the connection between suppliers and importers, secure supply chains, expedite the execution of commercial and financial transactions, reduce transaction costs, and facilitate the tracking of financial and commercial processes carried out through the Al Baraka Group units.
During a special event held to mark the platform’s launch, attended by officials from the JIB and the Al Baraka Group in Bahrain, Egypt, and Algeria via virtual conferencing, two panel discussions were conducted. These sessions, moderated by former Director-General of the Jordan News Agency, Faiq Hijazin, focused on introducing the platform, explaining how to join, and outlining its benefits, in addition to discussing economic issues relevant to clients and emphasizing the importance of connecting commercial process stakeholders through the Al Baraka Group units.
