Jordan Chamber of Commerce to Host Inaugural Gulf-Jordanian Investment Conference

Amman, November 3 (Petra) — Under Royal Patronage, the Jordan Chamber of Commerce is set to host the inaugural Gulf-Jordanian Investment Conference on December 4, aiming to explore investment prospects in key strategic sectors aligned with Jordan’s Economic Modernization Vision.

The conference will coincide with the 65th meeting of the Board of Directors of the Federation of Chambers of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), convened for the first time outside the GCC states. This milestone gathering underscores the robust and evolving relations between Jordan and the Gulf nations.

In a statement on Sunday, the Chamber highlighted the collaborative nature of the conference, which will be jointly organized with the Federation of Chambers of the Gulf Cooperation Council. It presents a pivotal opportunity to foster investment partnerships, share economic visions, and establish frameworks for cooperation between Jordan and Gulf states. The event seeks to bolster economic and investment integration and to position Jordan as a hub for regional economic growth.

Key participants will include the Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Gulf chamber heads, board members, prominent Gulf investors, and leaders of economic, financial, and investment organizations from both Jordan and the Gulf region.

The conference’s agenda will feature extensive dialogues on investment opportunities, success stories of Gulf investments in Jordan, and discussions between Gulf delegation heads and Jordanian ministers. Additionally, focused sessions will address critical sectors, including energy, mining, transportation, logistics, tourism investment, food security, agricultural production, information technology, and pharmaceutical manufacturing.

Khalil Haj Tawfiq, President of the Jordan Chamber of Commerce, emphasized the timeliness of the conference in light of economic challenges facing the region.

He commended His Majesty King Abdullah II’s role in guiding economic policy and fostering stability to cultivate an investor-friendly environment. Haj Tawfiq reiterated the importance of Gulf-Jordanian economic integration, especially amidst recurring global economic crises.

He remarked, “Through this conference, we aspire to establish an integrated economic framework that will strengthen trade and investment cooperation, allowing us to better navigate global economic challenges and attract further investment.”
