Jordan Showcases Tourism at IFTM Top Resa in France

Amman, Sept. 19 (Petra) — Jordan is participating in the 2024 IFTM Top Resa, one of France’s premier travel and tourism exhibitions, held in Paris from September 17-19.

Jordan’s pavilion, representing the country’s rich heritage and tourism offerings, includes 18 tourism and travel offices, Royal Jordanian Airlines, the Petra Development and Tourism Region Authority, and the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority.

In a statement, Abdulrazzaq Arabiyat, Director-General of the Jordan Tourism Board, emphasized the significance of IFTM Top Resa as a key platform for engaging with French tourism operators and strengthening the flow of French tourists to Jordan.

Arabiyat also highlighted the exhibition’s importance in fostering partnerships between local and French travel agencies.

Upon arriving at the Jordanian pavilion, Arabiyat conducted several interviews with local and international media, outlining Jordan’s initiatives to attract foreign tourists, particularly from France.

He expressed confidence that the Jordanian exhibit would garner significant media attention due to the country’s distinctive tourism offerings, safety, and stability, which remain strong despite the global disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Our participation in IFTM Top Resa is part of Jordan’s broader effort to enhance the tourism sector and showcase the country’s diverse and exceptional attractions,” Arabiyat stated. The pavilion displays a range of tourism products and services that highlight Jordan’s rich cultural heritage, breathtaking landscapes, and eco-friendly, sustainable tourism projects.

Arabiyat further noted that Jordan’s participation in IFTM Top Resa reflects its strategic objective to strengthen the country’s position as a leading tourism destination both regionally and globally. It also underscores Jordan’s commitment to developing sustainable tourism that contributes to economic growth and enhances the quality of life for its citizens.

The exhibition will feature a series of meetings and seminars with industry experts to discuss the latest trends and challenges in the tourism sector, providing participants with opportunities to exchange knowledge and expertise.

Visitors to the Jordanian pavilion expressed admiration for its design, which drew inspiration from the ancient city of Jerash, with the entrance modeled after the historic Hadrian’s Arch.
