Amman, Dec. 24 (Petra) – The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has announced the availability of scholarships offered by the Government of Brunei for the 2025-2026 academic year.
The scholarships cover various academic programs, including diplomas, bachelor’s, master’s, and doctorate degrees, across Brunei’s leading universities: University Teknologi Brunei, University Islam Sultan Sharif Ali, Politeknik Brunei, and University Brunei Darussalam.
The ministry highlighted that the scholarships encompass full tuition and registration fees, accommodation, a book allowance, a meal allowance, monthly expenses, and a round-trip economy class flight ticket.
Applicants must meet specific criteria: for diploma and bachelor’s programs, candidates should not exceed 25 years of age, while master’s applicants must be under 35 by July 1, 2025.
Additionally, a minimum score of 6 on the IELTS or 550 on the TOEFL is required. The deadline for submitting applications is February 15, 2024.
Studies are scheduled to commence in August 2025. Interested students can visit the official application portal at (https://www.mfa.gov.bn/pages/online-bdgs.aspx) for detailed information and to submit their applications, along with the required certified documents.
The ministry emphasized compliance with the 2023 equivalence regulations for non-Jordanian certificates. It also clarified that applicants are not required to visit the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research for stamping or signing the application forms.
