Amman, Nov. 10 (Petra) — Jordan imported 1.7 million mobile phones in the first ten months of this year, with the total import value reaching approximately JD 143 million, according to the Cellular Devices and Accessories Investors Association.
Compared to the same period last year, imports have seen significant growth, with 1.415 million devices valued at JD 128 million imported in 2023.
Association President Ahmed Alloush noted that the rising demand for smartphones highlights Jordan’s ongoing digital transformation and the increasing reliance on mobile technology for personal and professional activities.
