Amman, Nov. 14 (Petra) – Minister of Youth Yazan Shdeifat underscored the significance of strengthening the skills of youth workers, emphasizing their vital role within the youth development framework across Jordan’s governorates.
During his review of the Tafilah Youth Directorate’s activities and his visit to the Tafilah Youth Center, Shdeifat highlighted that training youth workers is a core component of the ministry’s strategy to revitalize youth centers, which includes developing youth programs, enhancing youth and sports facilities, and empowering youth center staff, aligning with the broader vision of administrative modernization that prioritizes human resource development.
Shdeifat also received a detailed briefing from Raafat Al-Hamran, head of the Youth Centers Department at the Directorate, on key programs and initiatives by youth centers in the governorate, along with participation rates among local youth.
In a field tour, the minister engaged with youth center heads participating in the “Capacity Building for Youth Workers” program, which is carried out by the ministry and involves 38 staff members from Tafilah’s youth centers. He listened to their perspectives on challenges and potential advancements in youth work across the governorate.
