Ministry of Education Undersecretary: 3rd National Strategy Highlights Qatar’s Aim of Enhancing Education, Students’ Skills

Moscow, September 24 (QNA) – HE Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education Dr. Ibrahim bin Saleh Al Nuaimi highlighted that Qatar’s Third National Development Strategy 2024-2030 includes Qatar’s educational strategy aimed at enhancing the quality of education and raising students’ skill levels by introducing modern teaching methodologies, training teachers, developing curricula, and equipping the educational environment with the best and most up-to-date facilities.

His Excellency emphasized the state’s focus on higher education, universities, and educational centers, all of which contribute to providing high-quality education, advancing scientific research, and utilizing modern technology in education. This is further supported by educational initiatives and the continuous professional development of teachers, along with promoting cultural and creative initiatives that significantly contribute to the development of both students and teachers.

These remarks were part of the speech delivered by HE Dr. Al Nuaimi, head of Qatar’s delegation at an international educational forum titled “Russia and the Arab World A New Paradigm for Cooperation,” organized by the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation in cooperation with the Chechen State University for teacher training.

The forum, held over four days in Grozny, the capital of Chechnya, features the participation of ministers of education from Arab countries and representatives of the Arab League. The forum aims to expand and enhance cooperation in the educational field between Russia and the Arab world.

In his speech at the forum, Dr. Al Nuaimi outlined the State of Qatars progress and transformation into an advanced nation capable of achieving sustainable development and providing a high standard of living for its people, in alignment with its National Vision 2030. He noted the remarkable developments in general education, higher education, scientific research, and technical and vocational education in the country.

He stressed that education has become a tool for progress and innovation, forming the foundation on which the future of societies is built. He further emphasized that the Qatari government is keen on investing in the development of the educational system through a range of initiatives and projects.

Dr. Al Nuaimi also underscored the importance of the forum as a platform that brings together education experts and practitioners from Russia and the Arab world to exchange expertise, share best practices, and acquire knowledge. This contributes to strengthening the strategic partnership between the two parties and achieving their shared goals in developing education systems, as well as facilitating knowledge exchange with Russia, which is considered a key partner in this regard.

On the sidelines of the forum, Dr. Al Nuaimi and his accompanying delegation held an extensive meeting with rector of the Chechen State Pedagogical Institute Dr. Baikhanov Ismail Bautdinovich, and Director of the Department of International Cooperation and Public Relations at the Russian Ministry of Education Dr. Usman Rasukhanov. During the meeting, they discussed aspects of cooperation in educational fields, particularly Russia’s experience in distance learning, technical and vocational education at the secondary level, and how to benefit from the experience of Grozny state university in teacher preparation across various disciplines. They also explored student exchange opportunities, especially for Russian students specializing in Arabic to enhance their language skills in Qatar, in addition to participation in student competitions.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Russian side thanked the State of Qatar for its participation in the forum, and expressed gratitude to HE Minister of Education and Higher Education Buthaina bint Ali Al Jabr Al Nuaimi for her continuous support of Qatari-Russian cooperation in the educational field.
