Moroccan Market, Source of Investment Opportunities and Gateway to Africa (Saudi Export Development Authority)

In addition to the significant investment opportunities it offers, the Moroccan market remains a major gateway to access African markets, which is likely to strengthen the growth and expansion prospects of Saudi companies, Mr. Al Mashrafi told MAP on the sidelines of the 2nd edition of Gitex Africa.

SEDA, which takes part in this edition, has a pavilion that brings together 25 leading Saudi national companies in the technology sector under the label “Saudi Made”, he said, adding that the aim is to explore the opportunities offered by the Moroccan market and strengthen communication between Saudi businessmen and their counterparts in potential markets, in order to expand commercial cooperation and develop Saudi non-oil exports.

This participation also aims to approach customers in Africa and thus expand the company’s activity on the continent, in addition to establishing partnerships in the sector of information technologies with Moroccan national companies, said the General Manager of the company “Hawsabah”, Saad Abdullah Alsalama.

The 2nd edition of Gitex Africa will allow Saudi companies to attract important clients in Africa outside Saudi Arabia, and will ease access to new markets such as the European and American markets through Morocco, he pointed out.

The Saudi businessman seized this opportunity to commend “the good and remarkable” organization of this event.

For his part, the founder and CEO of the logistics company “Pieship”, Nasser Alharthi, praised the organization of this continental event, noting that this participation in Gitex Africa made it possible to meet a large number of investors interested by the area of logistics, as well as the exchange of experiences with Moroccan and African stakeholders in this sector.

Held under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Gitex Africa 2024 is marked by the participation of over 1,500 exhibitors, representing more than 130 countries.

The event is a major crossroads for exchanges on the latest innovations in technology, particularly in the areas of artificial intelligence, healthcare and cybersecurity.

The Moroccan market offers promising investment opportunities and constitutes a main gateway to African markets, said Thursday in Marrakech the spokesperson of the Saudi Export Development Authority (SEDA), Tamer Ben Nasser Al Mashrafi.
