Amman, Nov. 26 (Petra) – The National Council for Family Affairs (NCFA) and the Technical Assistance Program for Comprehensive Social Protection in Jordan (Shamil) signed a memorandum of understanding on Tuesday to bolster collaboration on family-related issues.
The agreement was signed by NCFA Secretary-General Mohammad Miqdadi and Shamil Project Team Leader Bernie Wheeler.
The memorandum, Miqdadi said, aims to bolster cooperation through a master work plan covering project activities and sharing expertise.
It includes research and policy papers on family matters and coordinating efforts with partners and policymakers, he said, adding that such initiatives are a basis for family-related studies.
Wheeler pointed out the memorandum’s importance in advancing policies to protect family members from risks throughout different stages of life.
The collaboration will also include joint business planning sessions, capacity-building activities, and targeted training to align priorities, assess gaps, and ensure efficiency while avoiding duplication of efforts.
