Phosphates and Derivatives: Exports Reached MAD 53.51 Bln at End-September

This trend is due to lower sales of natural and chemical fertilizers (-38.1%), phosphoric acid (-46.9%) and phosphates (-52.7%), explains the Office in its recent bulletin on monthly foreign trade indicators.

Sales in the agriculture and agri-food sector fell slightly in the first nine months of 2023.

This decline is attributable to lower sales in the food industry (-2.2%), mitigated, however, by a slight increase in sales in agriculture, forestry and hunting.

Exports of phosphates and derivatives fell to 53.51 billion dirhams at the end of September 2023, according to the Office des Changes (Foreign Exchange Office).
