He stressed the need to connect vocational training institutes across the kingdom with productive associations to share experiences and foster cooperation in production and marketing. This collaboration would add value and generate higher returns for products.
Furthermore, the Prime Minister directed establishing connections between vocational training institutes and branches of major companies in Jordan to provide trainees with practical experience. This would facilitate their integration into the workforce of these companies upon completing their training.
During his visit, the Prime Minister inspected progress on the Virtual Hospital and the Comprehensive Health Center projects underway at the Al-Hussein/old Salt Hospital. Ministers of Health and Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship briefed him on the progress and the planned healthcare services.
The Virtual Hospital, the first of its kind in the kingdom, spans 1,600 square meters in the old Salt Hospital. It will offer remote medical care via electronic communication, enabling medical professionals to connect with teams and patients for consultations and care.
The hospital will link with five government hospitals in Ramtha, Mafraq, Tafileh, Ajloun, and Ma’an, providing remote diagnostic imaging services. Radiology specialists at the Virtual Hospital will analyze images sent electronically from these hospitals and provide consultations for critical care patients through daily interdisciplinary team interactions.
Additionally, the hospital will support kidney patients by linking nephrology specialists with dialysis units, enabling the development of customized dialysis plans for each session.
The Virtual Hospital will also extend services to health centers in subspecialties such as cardiology, endocrinology, and diabetes, connecting specialists to these centers. Preparations are underway to link it with Ghor Al-Mazraa and Princess Basma centers, equipping them with telemedicine clinics.
As for the Comprehensive Health Center in Salt, created by repurposing two floors of the old hospital, it will consolidate four rented health centers to offer integrated, higher-quality services. This initiative aims to alleviate pressure on the emergency department of Salt Hospital.
The Prime Minister emphasized the urgency of completing renovations promptly and launching the Virtual Hospital and Health Center at the start of next year. This timeline ensures the delivery of high-quality healthcare services to citizens as planned, enhancing the healthcare system across associated hospitals and centers.
