Amman, Nov. 26 (Petra) — The Kingdom is set to experience a mix of relatively cold weather and scattered morning rain on Tuesday, as temperatures gradually climb back to seasonal averages later in the week.
Tuesday’s forecast includes partly cloudy skies in most regions, with mild conditions prevailing in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Scattered showers are anticipated in parts of the southwestern areas during the morning, accompanied by moderate northwesterly winds that may occasionally pick up.
The Meteorological Department warns of fog reducing visibility over mountainous areas and parts of the plains, as well as frost formation late at night and early Wednesday in high-altitude areas, the Badia, and the eastern plains. Citizens are urged to wear warm clothing to cope with the temperature drop.
A slight rise in temperatures is expected on Wednesday, though the weather will remain relatively cold in most regions. Low-altitude clouds will appear over northern and central areas, with winds shifting from southwesterly to easterly by midday.
By Thursday and Friday, temperatures will reach their seasonal averages. The weather will become mild in most areas and relatively warm in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba, with moderate southeasterly winds and scattered low clouds.
Today’s temperatures are expected to range between 11 C and 6 C in East Amman, 9 C and 4 C in West Amman, 8 C and 1 C in the northern highlands, 7 C and 2 C in the Sharah highlands, 22 C and 14 C at the Dead Sea, and 21 C and 11 C in Aqaba.
