Amman, Dec. 29 (Petra) – Minister of Labor Dr. Khaled Bakar decided to extend the working hours of the Kingdom’s labor directorates until 5 pm, ending next Tuesday evening, for a 3-day period to facilitate the legal rectification transactions of non-Jordanian workers in the Kingdom.
In a statement Sunday, the minister said the decision aims to enable employers to benefit from the regulatory procedures to regularize the status of unauthorized foreign employees nationwide.
During their meeting earlier today, Bakar and Head of the Lower House Labor, Social Development and Population Committee, Moataz Abu Rumman, agreed to extend the working hours of the ministry’s directorates countrywide for a 3-day duration to rectify status of expatriate workers.
