UNICEF Launches Art Exhibition in Amman for World Children’s Day

Amman, Nov. 21 (Petra) – The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) inaugurated the “Listen to the Future” art exhibition on Thursday at the Children’s Museum in Amman, celebrating World Children’s Day.

The exhibition features 36 artistic drawings by children from across Jordan, portraying their dreams and aspirations for a peaceful, safe, and sustainable future. It serves as a platform to amplify children’s voices and highlight their vision for tomorrow.

UNICEF Representative to Jordan Philippe Duamelle emphasized the importance of this year’s World Children’s Day theme, urging leaders and communities to work towards a better and more inclusive future.

He described the exhibition as a valuable opportunity to view the future through children’s eyes and reiterated the shared responsibility to ensure every child thrives in a secure, equitable, and inclusive environment.

The opening ceremony included a performance by the “Tajalla” Children Choir, where 25 young singers from across Jordan presented traditional Jordanian songs, promoting cultural heritage and nurturing talent among children in different regions.

Approximately 100 children participated in the event, engaging in interactive activities such as the “Wall of the Future,” which incorporated artificial intelligence to help children express their dreams through art.

The “Listen to the Future” exhibition will remain open to the public for a week, inviting visitors to reflect on the aspirations of Jordan’s children as part of World Children’s Day celebrations.
