Irbid, Jan. 5 (Petra) – Walid Batiha, a neurology consultant at Princess Basma Hospital in Irbid announced the launch of a specialized educational program to train competent doctors in neurology. This program is the first of its kind and the only one offered by hospitals under the Ministry of Health.
Batiha told the Jordan News Agency (Petra) on Sunday that the program includes six neurology specialists and six residents in a training program spanning several years. Its goal is to enhance specialized healthcare in this critical field.
The program aims to equip participating doctors with the necessary knowledge and skills to diagnose and treat complex neurological diseases, strengthen medical expertise in neurology, develop diagnostic and therapeutic skills, provide opportunities for scientific research and development, and foster international collaboration in neurology.
He highlighted that the program features advanced, internationally accredited curricula and hands-on training with state-of-the-art medical technology. He emphasized that “the program will serve as a starting point for improving neurological healthcare services.”
Batiha also noted that the hospital has established a specialized clinic for multiple sclerosis patients, operating every Thursday in the outpatient clinic’s building. The clinic aims to provide specialized healthcare and optimal services to patients.
