
Launch
of Omani Crafts House Platform to Promote SME products
Muscat, 20 Mar (ONA) — The Authority for Small and Medium
Enterprises Development (ASMED) today launched the Omani Crafts House Platform
to showcase modern products made by artisans and small and medium enterprises
(SMEs), market them and sell them.
The launch ceremony was held under the auspices of Salim
Mohammed Al Mahrouqi, Minister of Heritage and Tourism.
Besides providing new businesses opportunities for marketing
the products of craftspeople and SMEs, the digital gateway will offer its services without
any registration fees or interest on sales transactions.
Through the platform, the products will have access to a
wide range of interested parties, thus ensuring strong presence for SMEs and
artisans in local online platforms.
The platform targets SMEs and artisans specialized in
handicrafts, personal care, beauty products, perfumes and incense products,
fashion, accessories of men and women and jewellery.
