
Amman, August 6 (Petra) – The National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) held the 4th edition of the “Cyber Warriors” university-level competition, in partnership with Al Hussein Technical University (HTU), Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Ministry of Youth, with participation of over 300 students.
According to a NCSC statement on Wednesday, more than 800 students from 18 Jordanian universities nationwide engaged in the qualifying contests, which were held on July 31.
This year’s competition saw the participation of approximately 90 teams, competing in “Capture the Flag” challenges.
The event aimed to develop students’ skills in cybersecurity, digital challenges, and teamwork, as well as identifying “promising” talents to ensure their future development and enhance their practical experience in this vital field.
Honoring the winners, “Goum Nam” team from Princess Sumaya University for Technology (PSUT) won the first place, while “Pound for Pound” representing Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST), PSUT and Applied Sciences University (ASU) ranked 2nd.
The Applied Sciences University’s “GhostBytes” team garnered the third place.
