Army, Partner Nations Air-Drop 54 Tonnes of Aid to Gaza

Amman, Aug. 6 (Petra) -Jordan Armed Forces – Arab Army (JAF) on Wednesday carried out an airdrop of humanitarian and food aid using seven aircraft, in cooperation with several nations.

In a JAF statement, the operation involved two Royal Jordanian Air Force aircraft, two from Germany, one from the United Arab Emirates, one from France, and one from Belgium.

A total of 54 tonnes of aid was dropped from an altitude of about 2,500 feet to ensure safety and quality of the food supplies upon delivery.

Today’s operation brings the total number of airdrops conducted by the JAF over Gaza to 142, in addition to 299 joint airdrops carried out with partner nations, the JAF announced.
