Jordanian Industries Hail Global Trade Shows for Expanding Export Horizons

Amman, Sept. 18 (Petra) — Jordanian industrial companies are setting their sights on international expansion after taking part in two high-profile trade exhibitions held simultaneously at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

Organized by the Jordan Exporters Association (JEA), the events offered an essential platform to promote Jordanian products to global buyers, open new markets, and highlight the quality and competitiveness of local industries.

Participating companies emphasized that such exhibitions play a critical role in expanding export opportunities, enabling direct engagement with international importers and distributors, and showcasing the innovation and strength of Jordanian manufacturing. In total, 17 Jordanian companies took part in the exhibitions, which focused on private label products, confectionery, and snack industries, sectors where Jordan is building a solid reputation both regionally and globally.

According to a statement released by the JEA on Thursday, the events helped participating firms gain insight into the latest global market trends and allowed for direct meetings with potential business partners from around the world.

Zeid Qabar, Managing Partner at Al Zaytuna for Chocolate and Confectionery Manufacturing Company, described the exhibition as a “strategic opportunity” to highlight the high standards of Jordanian sweets. He praised the Association’s professional organization of the Jordanian pavilion, noting that the presentation left a strong impression on international visitors and reflected positively on the national industry.

“Participating in such events not only boosts brand visibility but also strengthens the broader export ecosystem,” Qabar said, adding that exhibitions like these contribute directly to increased factory sales, foreign currency inflows, and job creation in the industrial sector.

Anas Suleiman, Board Member at Qabalan Bakeries, said the event provided a valuable chance to showcase the company’s products and build new export channels. He emphasized that global exhibitions help reinforce Jordan’s position in international markets and offer unique opportunities to collaborate with partners abroad.

Suleiman also highlighted the company’s ongoing investment in innovation and quality, stressing that international engagement is essential for keeping pace with global standards and consumer expectations.

For Al-Hourani Hygienic Paper Company, the exhibitions marked their first participation in an international trade event. Company representative Mohammad Al-Hourani described the experience as “excellent,” expressing optimism about future expansion and new market entry.

He credited the Jordan Exporters Association for its support in facilitating the company’s involvement, noting that exposure to global trends and innovation in the hygiene products sector would help enhance the competitiveness of Jordanian products.

Senator Ahmad Al-Khudari, JEA President, said the strong Jordanian presence at the exhibitions demonstrates the local industry’s ability to compete internationally. He noted that sectors like food, packaging, Dead Sea products, detergents, and cosmetics are gaining traction in global markets due to their quality and strong reputation.

“These trade shows are more than just marketing opportunities, they are key drivers of economic growth, aligning closely with the national vision for economic modernization and export-led development,” Al-Khudari said.

He added that the Association continues to support member companies by organizing their participation in global trade shows and providing logistical and technical support to ensure effective and professional representation abroad.

Director General Halim Abu Rahmeh reaffirmed the Association’s dedication to creating meaningful platforms that enable Jordanian industries to thrive internationally. He reported a high level of interest at the Jordanian pavilion from importers and buyers across several countries, many of whom were impressed by the quality of the displayed products.

“Specialized international exhibitions have proven to be powerful tools for promoting Jordanian industry and strengthening our footprint in global markets,” Abu Rahmeh said. “Our mission is to continue offering these platforms and support services to help Jordanian products compete, grow, and succeed worldwide.”

The Association emphasized that supporting exports is not only vital for industrial growth but also a key pillar in creating sustainable economic development, increasing the sector’s contribution to GDP, and generating new employment opportunities for Jordanian youth.
