QRTA holds annual meeting on education partnerships

Amman, September 28 (Petra) – The Queen Rania Teacher Academy (QRTA) held its annual meeting for the second edition of “QRTA CONNECT” under the theme: Enhancing the Impact of Education through Public-Private Partnerships.

According to a statement issued Sunday, the meeting provided a platform for dialogue to strengthen cooperation in improving the quality of education in Jordan. The Academy highlighted its role in building the capacity of educators, presenting its journey, achievements, and success stories from partnerships that have made a tangible impact in schools.

The event was attended by former Prime Minister Omar Razzaz, Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Azmi Mahafzah, representatives from the Ministry of Education, the Queen Rania Foundation for Education and Development, the US Embassy in Amman, the British Embassy in Amman, the French Embassy in Amman, the European Union, the World Bank, UNICEF, UNRWA, UNESCO, the UNHCR, Madrasati Initiative, Plan International, Diwan Amman Academy, Al Hussein Technical University, the German Jordanian University, and the Lebanon-based Makhzoumi Foundation.

The Academy said the meeting aimed to expand cooperation opportunities, promote innovative models of successful partnerships, and reinforce efforts to shape a brighter educational future.

It noted that the first edition of “QRTA CONNECT,” launched in 2024, brought together more than 50 participants from the Ministry of Education, non-governmental organizations, donors, and policymakers to exchange experiences and review key initiatives that supported national education efforts.

The meeting concluded with a call to strengthen and expand partnerships across sectors for the advancement of education in Jordan. Participants emphasized the vital role of sustained collaboration and strategic alliances in shaping a more inclusive, innovative, and sustainable future for learners and communities nationwide.
