Amman, Sept. 29 (Petra) – The University of Jordan (UJ) has officially joined the International Sustainable Campus Network (ISCN), a global non-profit organization founded in 2007 that groups universities from more than 30 countries worldwide.
The membership offers multiple opportunities, most notably showcasing the university’s institutional commitment to integrating sustainability in education, research, and community service, commented Faleh Sawaeer, Head of Accreditation, Global Rankings, and Sustainability Affairs at UJ.
It will also enable UJ to build international connections with sustainability experts at leading universities and enhance staff skills through specialized training programs, he said.
Sawaeer the membership offers a platform to highlight UJ’s achievements through publishing reports and best practices on ISCN platforms, gaining international recognition through participation in the annual ISCN Awards, influencing decision-making by actively joining global conferences and events, and staying updated on international initiatives in campus sustainability.
The network supports higher education institutions worldwide in exchanging expertise and best practices related to embedding sustainability principles into education and scientific research.
