Senate Head holds talks with Kazakh, Hungarian envoys on ties, region

Amman, Oct. 1 (Petra) – Senate President Faisal Fayez met separately on Wednesday with Ambassadors Talgat Shaldanbay of Kazakhstan and Hungary’s Peter Jakab, for discussions of bilateral relations and ways to boost cooperation across various fields.

The Senate head spoke of the high level relations between Jordan and the two countries, urging expansion of joint investment opportunities and increased trade exchange.

They also touched on regional issues, particularly Israel’s aggression against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank and the Gaza Strip.

Fayez highlighted Jordan’s positions, including efforts by His Majesty King Abdullah II to end conflicts, halt Israeli attacks, enable humanitarian aid into Gaza, and promote a political resolution based on the two-state solution and international legitimacy resolutions.

The envoys commended Jordan’s role in promoting peace, security, and stability, stressing a commitment to further enhancing cooperation, trade and investment, and activating signed agreements.
