
Amman, Oct. 1 (Petra) – The Public Security Directorate (PSD), in cooperation with the United Nations Special Committee on Gender, organized a specialized workshop on Wednesday to enhance the capabilities of its personnel participating in international peacekeeping missions as observers.
The workshop is part of the strategic partnership between the PSD and the United Nations, reflecting the Directorate’s role in providing comprehensive security and humanitarian services in conflict zones worldwide.
The workshop addressed developments in peacekeeping missions, required language skills and field experience, and ways to increase female police participation, fostering a balanced and inclusive work environment.
The PSD pursues its security and humanitarian roles internationally, ensuring Jordan remains an effective contributor to global peace and security.
The workshop saw the participation of the Assistant Director of the PSD for Operations and Training, the Commander of the Gendarmerie Forces, several officers and UN representatives.
