Amman, October 7 (Petra) – Amman Mayor Yousef Shawarbeh held separate meetings on Tuesday with the Ambassadors of Qatar and Oman to discuss ways to enhance cooperation in the municipal sector.
In his meeting with the Qatari Ambassador, Sheikh Saud Al Thani, Shawarbeh highlighted the deep-rooted ties between Jordan and Qatar, emphasising the Greater Amman Municipality (GAM’s) commitment to strengthening cooperation with Doha.
Al Thani affirmed Qatar’s readiness to expand cooperation and facilitate the exchange of expertise between the two nations.
Shawarbeh also met with the Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman, Sheikh Fahd Al-Ajili, where discussions focused on enhancing collaboration between Amman and Muscat across various areas of municipal work.
He underscored the strong Jordanian-Omani relations and GAM’s interest in improving the quality of services through strengthened bilateral ties.
Al-Ajili expressed Oman’s willingness to deepen cooperation and build on the longstanding relationship between the two countries.
