Amman, Oct. 19 (Petra) – The Jordan Tourism Board (JTB) organized a workshop on educational tourism with the participation of several British tourism offices specializing in school travel.
In a statement on Sunday, the JTB said the workshop aimed to enhance tourism and education cooperation between Jordan and the United Kingdom, with participation from the British Educational Travel Association (BETA), which includes institutions involved in organizing international student trips.
The JTB added that the workshop follows up on efforts launched during a promotional event held in London last April, which showcased Jordan’s potential as a destination for educational and cultural tourism.
The event featured meetings and joint sessions between Jordanian and British tourism offices, discussing opportunities for cooperation, expertise exchange, and developing programs in educational tourism to help boost British tourist arrivals to Jordan.
The workshop is part of an introductory visit organized by the JTB for British travel agencies specializing in school tourism, taking place from October 9 to 15, aimed at showcasing Jordan’s educational and tourism.
