Mild Autumn Air and Gentle Skies to Continue Through Thursday

Amman, Oct. 20 (Petra) — Gentle autumn air and clear skies will carry through the week, bringing mild days and cool evenings across most regions, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department.

On Monday, temperatures will remain close to seasonal averages, with pleasant autumn conditions, mild over the highlands and moderate elsewhere. Low clouds will drift across the northern and central areas, while northwesterly winds blow at a moderate speed, sometimes picking up in the desert.

A slight rise in temperatures is forecast for Tuesday, keeping the weather comfortably warm and autumn-like. High clouds are expected to appear, with light southeasterly winds shifting northwesterly by afternoon.

Wednesday and Thursday will bring steady autumn weather, featuring soft sunshine, light clouds, and calm northwesterly breezes. Conditions will remain mild and stable, with no major changes expected.

Temperature readings for Monday show highs and lows of 26 and 15 degrees Celsius in East Amman, 24 and 13 in West Amman, 22 and 12 in the northern highlands, and 23 and 10 in the Sharah highlands.

In desert areas, temperatures will range between 30 and 14 degrees, while the plains are expected to record 26 and 15 degrees. The northern Jordan Valley will see 33 and 18 degrees, compared to 34 and 22 degrees in the southern Jordan Valley.

Around the Dead Sea, temperatures will reach 32 and 20 degrees, and 33 and 21 degrees in Aqaba.
