
Amman, Oct. 21 (Petra) The Development Community and Service Center at the University of Jordan participated for the second consecutive year in organizing the Children’s Marathon and the 2025 Amman BROMIN Marathon, held recently in cooperation with the Run Jordan Organization and with wide participation from various age groups and public and private entities.
The university’s participation reflects its commitment to supporting national initiatives aimed at promoting public health, encouraging active and healthy lifestyles, and fostering teamwork and cooperation values that align with the university’s ongoing vision to strengthen community partnerships and instill a culture of volunteerism and collective action.
The center’s contribution included the participation of a large number of student volunteers who were assigned coordination, reception, and logistical support duties efforts that played a key role in the successful and well-organized execution of the event.
Director of the center Mohammad Mustafa emphasized that the university’s participation reaffirms its leading role in supporting national initiatives, noting that volunteerism and sports are essential pillars for achieving sustainable development and building an active, healthy society.
The University of Jordan’s involvement through the center also aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 3 on good health and well-being and Goal 17 on partnerships for the goals, by supporting sports activities that bring together diverse segments of society in the spirit of cooperation and solidarity.
