Amman, Oct. 23 (Petra) – Trade between Jordan and Syria recorded a sharp increase during the first eight months of 2025, supported by the revival of commercial activity between the two neighboring countries.
According to foreign trade data issued by the Department of Statistics, the value of Jordan’s national exports to Syria rose to JD152 million, up from JD31 million during the same period last year, marking a 390.3 percent increase. The rise reflects stronger demand in the Syrian market for Jordanian products.
Meanwhile, Jordan’s imports from Syria reached around JD68 million, compared with JD34 million for the corresponding period last year, recording a 100 percent growth.
Jordanian exports to Syria primarily include construction materials and industrial products such as cement, iron, marble, tiles, paints, and pipes, in addition to electrical equipment, food and agricultural products, and chemicals.
