Amman, Oct. 27 (Petra) – Minister of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs Ayman Safadi on Monday met with Jeremy Lewin, U.S. Under-Secretary for Foreign Assistance, Humanitarian Affairs and Religious Freedom at the State Department.
The two officials discussed ways to strengthen the strategic partnership between Jordan and the United States, as well as the latest regional developments.
Talks also focused on ongoing efforts to maintain the ceasefire in Gaza, ensure the immediate and adequate delivery of humanitarian aid to the Strip, and implement all provisions of the ceasefire agreement.
Safadi reaffirmed Jordan’s appreciation for U.S. President Donald Trump’s efforts to help reach the ceasefire agreement and his proposal to end the war in Gaza, facilitate aid delivery and reconstruction, prevent the displacement of Palestinians, and his firm stance against the annexation of the West Bank.
